Narrative
A producer deal signs away a permanent slice of everything the track ever earns, and most artists do not read it that way.
Take a common scenario. An artist books two days with a producer who has a discography, a studio, and numbers. They pay £1,500 upfront and (almost as an aside) the producer mentions he will need "the usual points".
The artist nods. Nobody asks what "the usual" means. That gap is exactly what this episode closes.
