A common scenario: a client is offered a label deal, £50,000 up front, a full marketing push, and playlist pitching they could never afford alone. In return, signs their rights.
Fifty thousand pounds is more than two years of minimum-wage work, landing before a single track is released. To the client it reads as validation, and as freedom. Your job is to read it as what it legally is, which is something quite different.
