The pitch is compelling, more ears, more , more fans. The cost is buried in the small print: the per-stream on every Discovery Mode play is lower than normal.

It is a familiar shape of deal. A bigger number of something worth less can still add up to more, or it can be a quiet discount on streams the client would have earned anyway. Telling those two cases apart is the adviser's job here.
